I didn't watch SYTYCD tonight because I had friends over to watch Clerks and Mallrats.
To console myself, I decided to watch Katee and Twitch dance "The Door" routine to Duffy's "Mercy".

I sat down with my friend Liz the other day and we discussed the state of the world.
OK, not really. Sounds a lot better than "we gossiped about our friends."
Which we totally did.
You see, we have a few chronically single male friends and see the mistakes they make and wanted to have a way to tell them about it. We were initially going to just send an anonymous email or three, and then decided we would better the world by telling all the guys out there the little things that they might be overlooking.
We're not saying that what we're about to tell you will fix everything. We're just saying it couldn't hurt.
And gentlemen? Don't worry. While we're starting out picking on you, ladies will be getting their turn.
To our guy friends who inspired this idea: Thank you. Now listen up!
Surprised no one has asked you this yet but what favorite comic books do you like?
Let's see here...Looking out at my comics collection, I have Girl Genius, Buffy, Fray, User Friendly, Get Fuzzy, a Firefly book, the CAD book and I have plans to eventually get The Stand (currently just buying in serial format) once it goes into softcovers. I'll probably get caught up on the Angel series once I finish watching the TV show. I was reading the Dark Tower books, but they started annoying me. I wish I could find the Dr. Horrible one-shot and The Talisman, but Pop Culture Comix doesn't have either and I've been too lazy to check the other stores in town.
You are trapped in a room with two exits. One exit leads to certain death, the other leads to freedom. Each exit is guarded by a robot. One robot always lies and the other always tells the truth but you do not know which is which. You are allowed to ask one robot one question. What question do you ask and what door do you choose?
Would the other robot tell me if this door leads to freedom?
(I might have looked up the clip from Labyrinth before answering. And by might, I totally did. So blame Labyrinth if I'm wrong and not my horrible deductive logic skills.)
Meet Pepsi, the cutest cat in the world. She's 18 1/2 and we've had her since she was a kitten. I got her from my friend Lacey, who was my best friend in elementary school.
Pepsi has lost her hearing by now and has slowed down a bit, but she's still full of mischief.
Oh, I sure hope that's a joke. Please, PLEASE don't let them torment the world with yet another Free Willy movie.

If I won the lottery, I would go back to this list and buy...well, most of it. Pretty sure I don't need to pith a grapefruit, but it would be pretty awesome to have a bread knife and a few of the other things she talks about.
This is the Liberty Memorial in KCMO. It is a World War 1 memorial/museum. The museum is located beneath the base of the pillar. The two buildings flanking the pillar are the original museum/meeting hall. You can go up in the pillar and (I am told) get a great view of KC. Sadly, I can't vouch for that because the elevator was being worked on when I visited, so they weren't letting anyone go up.
Many people in KC like to make cracks about the giant penis and you know what? I'm one of them.
I'm a member of Houlihan's HQ and got an email about their upcoming cupcake offerings. They let us know about cupcakes and you KNOW my ears perked up for that.
On the left is a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting and what looks like crushed butterfinger on top. Tasty, but the frosting was goopy and slid off the cupcake in spots. In the middle is vanilla with vanilla frosting and white chocolate shavings. Oddly enough, it also had half a starlight mint on top. This frosting was too thick and didn't pull away when I pulled part of the cake away. The cake itself was nothing special, either. Gotta give it some love for the white chocolate shavings. On the right is a chocolate cake with Kahlua frosting. The cake was too crumbly, the frosting was too thick, but it was tasty. Overall, the peanut butter won for taste and ease of eating. If I was out with a group of friend and they wanted to split cupcakes, I would not turn them down. Too much for just me, however. I will spare you a picture of the carnage I left behind.

So, I occasionally have a bout of nerdiness. Today, let me bring you my meager (yet apparently better than Carl Moore's) comic book knowledge.
Batman is a DC Comics property. The lame joke in the strip is assuming Batman is a Marvel property. Batman is (thanks to DC Comics) Sony's bitch, not Disney's.
Shatto is currently testing Coffee Milk, flavored with coffee from The Roasterie.
There's a lovely article at the link talking about Shatto and it's got some other fun bits but--
Shatto COFFEE MILK.
Kinda sounds good, y'know?
Adam Shankman, choreographer, director and Miley Cyrus photo scandal fan-flamer, is moving from frequent to permanent fixture on the So You Think You Can Dance dais this season, filling out the judging trifecta alongside Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe.
Hey, pretty cool! Adam has done a good job of judging in the past and quite honestly, the ever-changing judges were getting annoying. I'm sorry, but I did not need MORE Lil'C this season!
Allergy Awareness Pinback Button 5 Pack
Description Does your child have an allergy that people around them need to be aware of but you're not always there to tell them? This listing is for 5 pinback buttons featuring the allergy information, color, and center image of your choice. Want a peanut allergy button in blue with a truck? We can do that! A milk allergy button in purple with a flower? We can do that too. We here at geek details are well aware that not every child can vocalize their allergy yet and that sometimes a little help is needed to remind people of the allergies a child has. Why not do it in a fun reusable way?
Each button is handpressed using a Tecre button maker. This means that there are no bumpy edges or bits of mylar sticking out around the edges. All my buttons look like professionally made buttons you'd buy from any brick and mortar because they are made using the same professional grade parts and machine, but come from my home to yours.
Have a kid with allergies? This pinback button set is perfect!

My inner child is ten years old!
The adult world is pretty irrelevant to me. Whether
I'm off on my bicycle (or pony) exploring, lost
in a good book, or giggling with my best
friend, I live in a world apart, one full of
adventure and wonder and other stuff adults
don't understand.
How Old is Your Inner Child?
